SONGS

Carol Moore has been writing political folk rock and musical comedy songs since 1974.  In the 1970s I was involved with comedy, folk and rock music and theater in New York City.   However, since I started focusing on political writing and activism in 1979 I have devoted too little time to music, besides continuing to write songs when inspired by events or circumstances.

Listen to my first song put online,  TAKE UP THE FLAG.  It was recorded in a professional studio in 1982, the free recording being first first prize in a local song contest.  (I also won a mid-1980s Freedom Song Contest for my song SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER.)

Watch the first song I wrote for my own YouTube music video to commemorate an occassion - Military Families Mourning the Dead at the White House and later celebrating the defeat of warmongers during the 2006 Elections. A song called "First We Mourned, and then We Celebrated." (A capella)
These are the first two songs I produced with my new Casio keyboard.

Watch No Nations! No Nukes!
Written for and sung by the June 1982 - "No Nations - No Nukes" anarchist-libertarian contingent of the 1 Million strong peace march in New York City. (See photos.)

Watch "I Died For A Lie"
A song I wrote and sung at a peace demonstration in response to a counter-protesting woman who cursed the peaceniks.

I've got a couple dozen more good ones I want to put up as audio or video before I croak off!
Please contact me if you are interested in performing any of these songs in your band

or personal performances --or even recording it!
